I'm Aaron.

An industrial chemist that's now studying nutritional medicine. I accidentally became paleo about 6 months ago.
I was sick of doctors telling me to take diet pills because I couldn't lose weight. I got sick of them prescribing pain pills because I'd get injured easily when I'd try to go for a run or spend time at the gym. I thought "how can I be a scientist yet have no clue what's going on with my body?" so I started digging through medical journals.

As it turns out, the standard diet is 50 year old research. And most of the modern research is company sponsored horse-shit. So I had to dig through our biological systems and how that all works. I then built a system that's almost exactly paleo. I'm a little more anal about minor details and inflammatory foods.
I then proceeded to shed about 15kgs in two months, with ZERO exercise. All my sleep and pain problems went with it. I started back up at the gym recently to start putting on some more muscle mass.

I decided that I've found my new life calling - so I started studying again, with the goal of becoming a "paleo" nutritional practitioner.

I've started coaching others for weight loss and other specific health problems too. So why not join a local community of other paleoistas for support & advice 🙂

I'd love to hear from you guys!

Hey Aaron that's a great story and inspiring for many people .... that personal experience will help you to help other people.

I am also a nutritionist and love my work after going through a career change about 15 years ago and have no regrets

Have fun studying
