The Heart Breath with Len Worley, PhD

Hey APLG! Our very own Len Worley is presenting on the benefits of cultivating a resilient mind and body through a practical technique called the Heart Breath. This is a tool everyone can benefit from.

It’s arguable we have not evolved to handle the constant and unusual stress of modern life. This traps the body in a chronic sympathetic state which is like leaving all the lights on all the time. Not good if you pay the electric bill. Using the Heart Breath is a way to shift into the parasympathetic state. Turning off the light allowing the body/mind to relax. Cha-Ching!

Len says the heart is the first brain. That 60% of the cells in the heart are neurons similar to the brain. Learning to tap into your heart will enable you to cultivate well being.

This is a free event in the community room at the Gables Downtown. Here is a link to a google map:,-97.753639&spn=0.004488,0.006539. We can meet in the open courtyard there between West and Bowie. Parking should be free along 3rd St. If you have any issues feel free to contact me at[masked]-8333.

So join me in supporting one of our APLG brothers Sunday night and learn a new tool to combat stress. I can also show you the karate chop if you have not learned that one already. After the presentation we can walk over to the rumored Paleo friendly 24 Diner for a bite to eat. I’m interested in the fresh Game Burger. You can check out 24 Diner here:
