Steak 101 @ Local Yocal

Let's get together and take this class from Local Yocal’s owner, Matt Hamilton. We will get educated on all things concerning steak! They will teach us the many steak cuts available and clear the fog of marketing confusion by discussing meat grading standards, and the real meaning behind “Natural”, “All Natural”, “Grass Fed”, “Certified Angus” and several other marketing terms. The second part of the class will take place right in the butcher’s cutting room, where you will learn where on the actual beef carcass different steak cuts originate before watching the butcher make the actual cuts. Cost is $40, but should be able to get a group discount once we know how many of us will be there.  Check out their website for details on what to wear to get into the butcher area:
