The Lime Kiln Trailhead is at the southeast corner of the trail. At this point, you’ll have an immediate view of the historic Lime Kiln that was used during the mining activities in the 1800’s. Hike in a counter clockwise direction to ascend the hill first and hike the ridge top with views of the Rockwoods Reservation valley. The final stretch of the hike will keep you parallel to the main road and adjacent to a cool, spring fed creek.
