Grange Hall Burger Bar Farm-to-Table Dinner and Conversation

Alright my fellow urban and suburban cave people, there has been sufficient interest in this so I went ahead and booked a date with Grange Hall. TUESDAY, APRIL 8th, at 5:30 p.m. it shall be.

$30 gets you one of their salads featuring seasonal produce, a beautiful grass fed burger on top of a bed of lettuce, some of their jalapeno jicama slaw, and a glass of red wine (you will be able to choose between a couple of different options). They are also creating a seasonal fruit salad just for us and will serve it family style. Some of their burger add-ons will also be included with your $30, including their house made relish, caramelized onions, sauteed mushrooms, and a farm fresh egg.  You will also be able to add cheddar or pepper jack if you like, though I know many of you guys shy away from dairy.

The owner of Grange Hall Burger Bar also operates a farm in Michigan. She will most likely be there to speak with us, and if she can't make it someone else will be there on her behalf. We will talk about why she thinks farm-to-table restaurants are important, the challenges they face, and what we can do as consumers to see more places adopt similar practices. So bring your intellectual appetites as well as your appetite appetites.

Grange Hall is a smaller place and so they asked that we bring between 20-30 people and begin at 5:30 p.m. for this event to work for them. If you have already RSVP'd but 4/8 does not work for you, please change your RSVP or get in communication with me ([masked]). Finally, if you know another similar restaurant that may be interested in doing an event like this, let me know! Let's make this a regular thing!
