BBQ Tasting & Music Fest

On October 4, Main Street Garden will host the first, but surely not the last, SMOKED DALLAS, a daylong “deliciously curated music and BBQ festival” featuring some of the state’s best and best-known slow-cookers and music-makers. On the menu, so far: Black’s Barbecue (yes, the Lockhart legend), Fort Worth’s own Cousin’s Bar-B-Q, readers’ fave Hutchins BBQ straight outta McKinney, Bishop Arts’ own Lockhart Smokehouse, Schmidt Family Barbecue from down in Bee Cave and Stanley’s Famous Pit Barbecue out in Tyler. Also on hand: Kent Rathbun and coulda-been MasterChefs-turned-Frank-o-philes Jennie Kelley and Ben Starr.
