60 Stupid Reactions To Your Paleo Diet

Luckily, most people in my life either eat a broadly Paleo diet now – or at least understand it. But over the years I’ve been eating this way, I’ve had so many negative  (or just plain confused) reactions from people, questioning why I've been eating this way.

Which of these reactions have you had? And what other reactions have you had? Share yours in the comments below.

Paleo? What’s paleo? I have also heard “Oh I could never do anything that restrictive”. This is the least restrictive diet I have ever been on. I don’t like to refer to paleo as a diet I describe it to people who ask as a life style change. It is the best change I have ever made. My husband also discovered he was gluten intolerant by making this change. Best of all I love not counting calories and I have still lost weight.

One of my friends, who is really quite intelligent, asked: “Paleo? So, you only eat foods that are…what…pale in color?” That is the only time I have ever, ever heard that question, and I was very grateful to be too shocked to laugh. I, too, love the list b/c I hear most of this on a consistent basis.

Messed around with paleo for about 12 months then it all clicked into place .. It’s the best range of food ever .., and food I’ve restricted in the past !!! I’ve never eaten so many fabulous desserts either .. This is my style of eating from now on .. And Iam sure it’s helping me go through the change

If it’s good enough for LeBron James, one of the most amazing athletes on the planet, it’s good enough for most of us. I think some ‘experts’ don’t like Paleo because it doesn’t let them sell you a whole range of ridiculous supplement pills that you don’t need.

As the Remote River Man, I’ve spent a lot of time with indigenous people in pristine, natural environments where they just eat what the forest and rivers provide (African pygmies, Australian Aborigines and Makushi tribesmen in Guyana, South America). They’re super-healthy, and their stamina is amazing.

I got ‘what about carbs? You need them so if you cut out bread and pasta you won’t get carbs!
    What about rice? Its natural
What will you feed guests at the birthday
Party you cant not have cake?
I served almond/coconut and raspberry cake with paleo cream and crushed freeze dried strawberry on top umm everyone thought it was so much better than a sponge cake with cream that so many love!

My mum even tries to tempt my 3yr old with bread saying you poor thing aren’t you hungry? He said I can have zucchini bread or almond bread or fruit or date balls they are my favorite!!
    Good on you little man.
I have been eating 90%paleo for 1yr now I slowly eliminated one thing a week sometimes severalthings and replaced with paleo
If you have everything made from coconut almonds and lots of spices you cant go wrong

Now hubby is preferring zucchini pasta to real pasta! Can you believe it? This man was raised on pasta and white bread

Actually when I mention the Paleo Diet most people are on it or have heart about it. My sister got me stated on this died because me life was a mess. Divorded, living with my mother, Multiple Sclerosis, Fibromyligia. 2 heart attacks, open heart surgery. deep depression, just to name a few. On Jan 11, 2015 – Istarted the diest and began excercising 5 days a week for I hour. Tread mill, bike and weights. Started at 250 lbs down to 233 on this day. My outlook on life has changed and my sister and I get together every sunday to cook and try new recipes together. She is my angel, best friend, but most of all my Sister. Sorry that this was a little off the subject. I walk and bike for 5 miles at different speeds. Thank you so much for this diet.

Actually most of these comments were made by my GP!
He was visibly scornful when I told him that I follow a Paleo lifestyle (in progress), and told me I was trying to kill myself.
I decided to stop seeing him as I have never felt so well since I started Paleo nearly two years ago.
